Anyone seen him live for his solo part of his career? How was it? I've seen him with the Crowes and he's clearly a really talented southern blues/rock guitarist.
They're playing here next Friday the 20th and I'm probably going to get a few people together to go. It's a relatively cheap ticket, so it helps makes the decision a little easier.
FYI for anyone in Nashville tonight, last show of the Jackie Greene Band/Rich Robinson Band tour is in Nashville tonight. Too bad RRB won't be with them here in Denver next week.

I watched a few of his webcasts with Phil Lesh & Freinds. He did a decent job at covering the Dead and some other classic rock. I have never heard his solo stuff.

He's had several albums released and also has a Deads' cover ep (called, The Grateful). Really enjoyed his album "Giving Up The Ghost" when it was released (2004, I think), but his subsequent releases I have found like an overall direction. Also did a song on a Band covers lp (Look Out Cleveland) which is very good. Would be worth catching.

Stellar singer/songwriter. Seen him about 5 times and always puts on a great show. His shows are heavy on his solo work but he also usually slides in a few Dead tunes. He has released 5 solo albums, i'd imagine they are all on spotify so give them a listen and see if it's something you enjoy.
