its going to be a chevrolet silverado so save the ford post.. ive seen them all. If you had to pick one which would it be.

- silverado LT z71 super crew
-silverado LTZ 2wheel drive super crew

here are the facts of the matter. I have another truck for hunting/pulling boat. a 4x4 f150 so i dont HAVE to get another 4wheel drive. This will be my primary vehicle, i drive 45 miles one way to work daily so the x71 may be worse on gas.

The z71 has cloth interior
The ltz has leather, sunroof, woodgrain, navigation, all chrome door handles and chrome mesh grille.

Both trucks come with factory 22" chrome wheels anD all terrain tires..i really like both trucks, the outdoorsman in me say get the z71... which will also be $50 a month cheaper note. But man getting a brand new truck i hate to not pay the $50 extra a month and get it loaded out.

**UPDATE GOT THE 2 WHEEL DRIVE LTZ**

If you have a 4x4, and drive a ton, I would get the one loaded out.

Might as well ride in comfort. The Z71 has blisteen offroad shocks if i'm not mistaken. The 2wd should ride better.

The Chevy that I looked at 6 months ago had cheap Rancho shocks on it.

this was my thinking as well.. just trying to get sone opinions since the 4x4 is actually a little cheaper. If it were the same price i would say the ltz automatically.

agree 100% and you can always shove a 2" leveling kit under the front end and it will sit up high like the z71 and they only cost a few hundred bucks.

If you have a 4x4 and are just using the new one for commuting get the 2 wheel drive or just get a car, will save you a shite ton of money over a truck

was going to be the first thing i did! my current truck is the 2011 ltz 2wheel drive and i love it. when i hit the woods or pull the boat i take my ford 4x4 so i really dont need 4wheel drive in this truck

I would get the Z71 because all of this
quote:

leather, sunroof, woodgrain, navigation

is a negative to me. I always want cloth, sunroof's are dumb, woodgrain is always faux, and I refuse to use navigation. Chrome dresses a truck up if it's not overdone (my f150 xlt has the perfect amount)

I could not disagree more, aside from the wood grain comment. Do you expect real stained maple in your mass-produced truck?

You mean something that cost 45,000 but puts fake wood and sells it as real wood. Yes, yes I do. Leather is cold in the winter, hot as frick in the summer and isnt nearly as durable.

I'd also check the GMCs out just to be positive you don't like the looks of them better. I would get the loaded out interior, they are so nice on the new chevys.

My thoughts:

1. Ford
2. If you already have a hunting 4x4 truck and are just buying this for commuting, then why a truck? I would think a SUV or a car would be more comfortable and economical.
3. Why would you car what other people think?

1. i have a ford.. thats my 4x4 for hunting.
2. i dont like cars, dont want a car, wont own a car.
3. its more of gathering opinions, im not going to get one or the other becauase someone says it. Just asking what the Ob thinks, in the end i will get what i want.

Yes, I know. It was a joke, just like the 6 other people before me.

Then get an SUV. Seems redundant to have two trucks, especially if one of them is just driving 90 miles a day to and from work. Why waste the money on gas? What about if you need a SUV instead of a truck. Would be nice to have one available.

Chevy > Ford. You're a smart man. The new Ford trucks was all the hype at work two years ago. Now they're all complaining about all the shite going wrong with them. Lol. I'm still rolling Chevy strong!!
