We are heading to the highlands, NC for a vacation next week and wife has us staying at the perimeter area in ATL on the way since we are stopping to see some friends. I have no clue about Atlanta really except a little bit about buckhead. Any good places to eat near this area? Thanks

so you are staying on the north east side of atlanta? am i correct to assume that? I'll toss out the obligatory taco mac for ddecent food and good beer on tap.

I honestly have no idea. Just figured I'd ask here first, since that's where she told me we were staying
To be honest, she asked me what I thought we should eat and I told her taco Mac. Best bar food/wing joint I know of with a great beer selection. However, she told me to go "ask my little food message board people" if they had any other ideas.

I understand that, but apparently the one she speaks of is a certain part of the perimeter

If you're a sushi fan, Taka is fantastic.

Peter Chang's Tasty China
Best Chinese chef in the US. Get the Shan City Chicken if you like heat.

Chuys is at perimeter mall or go to pure taqueria in Roswell it's not far from you and it is the best Mexican food I've had in ATL. But taco mac is always my go to as well.
