galaxy is a great phone, ive however made the switch to iphone 5 two years ago and never looked back

You know, this is what I don't understand about Android device makers. No one seems to be going out and buying an M8 because if Sense/Blinkfeed and no is certainly buying a Galaxy S or note to get TouchWiz.
If I wanted all that extra garbage I'm sure I could add it myself.
Why do they keep putting their own software on top? Just freaking make the hardware, make it premium hardware, make it work perfectly with stock android, sell it and dominate.
It seems so simple. What am I missing?

Don't have one but I have an S4. They dropped the ball on the S5. There's really no reason to get the S5 over the S4.

This is why I like my Moto X. It has stock Android without all the crap built on top.

I thought the always on google now feature would have been adopted by other manufacturers right now. I was surprised it didn't come with the N5

Samsung software has always been complete shite. The only reason one should get an S5 would be to install a custom Rom. Great hardware, terrible sw

It's an amazing device. LG just dropped a nuclear bomb while other manufacturers are playing around with bottle rockets. I'll bump my review thread

LG and Sony both make/made solid phones, but they don't market their products very well.
ETA: and I think a lot of their recent phones ran on the older Android softwares.

The same thing is said about the iPhone and every year Apple sells more of them than the year before. Samsung has such a commanding lead among Android manufacturers and all OS manufacturers worldwide that they don't need to change anything. Touchwiz takes a great OS and shits all over it. However Samsung has such deep pockets that they can flood the market with so many ads that no one knows that LG, Sony, and HTC have had superior products for awhile.

I have an S3 and have enjoyed it, but I have no want to get a new galaxy. I'm really looking forward to Google's Project Ara.

I can think of two reasons to get a 5 over a 4. Better camera and bigger screen.

I love my note 3 but it's obviously bogged down big time by TW.. Unless major changes are made, it's my last Samsung.

Last week I upgraded to the s5 from an s2. The camera and the battery life are noticeably better. I also get much better service and lte reception. It does come with a ton of bloatware but I rooted and removed most of it. I plan on using cryogenmod when they release the s5 version.
