According To Javi's bio he supervises base running. Not 100% certain what that entails.

Yea I saw where that was included. I suspect someone has to be designated having the responsibility of coaching base running. Perhaps it was Javi in the past and Davis assumed the responsibility when he took over at third. Just reporting what the bio indicates.
