maciah long

coming in from houston today

seems that they do not have a leader right now but could change this week

Maciah is probably an outside linebacker in Chavis' system

I'm not sure why you'd say this. I highly doubt he'll sign with A&M. I can't remember the last North Shore kid we signed tbh

that high school is normally a UT pipeline, right?

ah, well North Shore is kind of a sore subject for Ags. Our RB coach used to coach there and yet we still can't get anyone out of there

Anyway, I think we'll take Brandon Jones (Nac) and Deontay Anderson (Manvel). Anderson wants to play CB though so it's possible we could take all 3 but no one feels particularly upbeat about Monroe. Not really sure why those guys CBd to A&M as I have no idea who they are. Probably just did so because big local team offered.

actually last year during the Whitley fiasco, their coaches were pushing him to Bama as apparently one of them played for Saban at LSU. And that coach apparently took him to Tuscaloosa multiple times.

UTx has definitely done well there in the past and they have a RB in this class.

Play nice. Posters from other schools are allowed to be here as long as they're civil. He has been.

Yeah DeAndrew White from North Shore went to Bama and I had heard North Shore coaches had some connection to Bama. Your explanation would explain that. But usually North Shore is a UT pipeline, or it has been since early 2000's. Would love for LSU to get in their and nab a few good kids. That school always puts out a lot of D1 talent.

I used to coach at North Shore back in the mid 2000's and was an administrator at North Shore Middle when Eric was in middle school. He was a hell of a QB in middle school. Kinda surprised he turned into a safety. Thought for sure he would stay at QB in high school. The kid could sling it a mile in middle school.

Bobby Reid was a force in HS. It's too bad he didn't pan out for OSU. Everyone thought for sure he was NFL bound. 6'4", 225 lbs with a cannon arm and 4.4 speed. He dominated all the way to the 5A state championship over Danny Amendola and The Woodlands. Oh well. Guess you can't put a value on intangibles or injuries.

As for Eric, I hope he gets offered. He's a good kid and the coaches at North Shore will do a good job getting the most out of him. Well, David Aymond would. Not sure what the new staff there is like.

Haha I grew up in Tomball and went with my dad to the state title game at Rice that year. Amendola was the only Woodlands player to do anything in that game. North Shore dominated from the get go. And Reid was the truth. It was a shame he never panned out.

Oh and Bill,

Brockers went to Chavez High School, not North Shore. Not sure where you were going with that.
