It's that time of the year again for the All Clad Factory Sale. Some really good deals out there. We bought two items from this last year and there wasn't even the slightest dent/scratch or anything on the items we ordered.

Wouldn't a place like Tueday Morning still be way cheaper? Seems that $55 for a butter warmer is still a bit high.

I posted this sale last year and it got anchored. I know several people that got great deals.

Buy quickly, the good stuff sells out fast...

are expensive pots/pans really worth it?

serious question

I have always just bought the cheap pans from Marshals or wherever and I've never had any problems with them

I was one of them

It's really a great sale and some of the items are already out of stock.

My wife seems to really like them. We got a couple of items last year and she likes using them. We just bought two more of them this year.

I think the more expensive ones are probably going to hold up better than the cheap ones. Especially when it comes to the nonstick stuff.

If you can get a set that lasts a lifetime I can be. However typically people willing to spend this money on that type of pots are never satisfied and always buying. (I do this) You wont find many chefs cooking on high end pans in their kitchens. Same goes for high end knives.

At the end of the day while these pots are very nice you could do just as well with a set of magnalites.

Some truth to this...

I've not gone crazy on the All Clad stuff. I have a 12" fry pan with a lid and the oversized French Skillet w/lid as well. I bought the open stir fry last year and have been well pleased with it. For stir fry or even deep frying in small batches its been great. Would like to add a medium sized sauce pan sometime and will likely have all my cooking needs met.

I see they have the waffle maker on the sale this time. That is a great price on it. It is a Williams-Sonoma exclusive and they keep the price controls on it at $180. I own it and am very impressed with it's build quality and performance.

I find this hard to believe given what I've seen at retail. Be sure you are comparing apples to apples.

This kind of comment is typical for this place.

I find it next to impossible to believe. I looked up some of the stuff we have bought on Amazon and they can't even sniff the prices that All Clad is offering through their factory sale. No way TJ Maxx and Marshalls are that much better than both this sale and Amazon for the same items.

Is the 12 qt stock pot worth it for cooking gumbo, etc? I got a new gumbo pot for Christmas this year, but the roux will still scorch on the bottom because the pot isn't heavy enough? Is this a cookware problem or a cook problem, and will the All-Clad help with that?

They have comparable prices, but may only have a few All Clad pieces as far as selection.

I know I've bought a set of six Laguiole steak knives at Marshalls (the ivory handle colored ones with the bees on them) for ten bucks. Just looked it up on amazon and they were listed anywhere from 40-50 bucks.

Both

You're too hot, but if there isn't a good bottom plate to conduct heat properly, preferably veneered, you'll end up too hot. Best in the oven where you're not under a direct heat source with that pot.

To any of you ordered today, have you gotten a confirmation email yet? So far, I haven't.
