Computer guys I have a question.

Long story short my son broke his screen on his laptop. I got it out and HP quoted me $350 for a replacement screen. Found them on Amazon for $50. The number is LP156WH4(TL)(Q2). Problem is that when it comes up on amazon it says for and LG not an HP. Do the companys get the screens from a supplier and it will fit different models? It looks almost identical in the pic. Any help would be appreciated. TIA

You sure it isn't just made by LG and not for an LG? I'm not sure LG even makes laptops.
IIRC the last HP screen I replaced was made by LG.

I might have a spare one of those I can send you. It's second hand but you pay shipping and it's yours. I will check in the morning since it's at my shop.
