Last night, Ponchy played Covington and everyone was saying Cov QB was an LSU commit for baseball. Tyler Smith. That was first ive heard of it, anybody can confirm this?

You never know how high their stock is until draft day really. Several guys drop 15-20 rounds because they want first round money and they will not sign if they don't get it.

Actually, I think it's true.
But LSU offers and verbal commitments to underclassman are becoming less firm by the day.
As I understand it, both Kunertz and Poncho were told their offers would stand, but they would never see the field. So, obviously, the staff has been as committed as some of our recent defectors, too.

Mainieri has said we're going a little heavier with JUCO guys this year because they expect to lose 8 position players after the season. Hence the 3 we got from Delgado this weekend.

Who other than Stevenson, Laird, Bregman, Hale, Chinea, and Scivicque? I guess Sciambra counts as 7 although I don't see him playing a role anyway. I assumed that Foster would get a medical redshirt and return next year.
Despite all of the losses, I think we still project to have a pretty solid lineup coming back.

Oh, I was under the impression that he was out for the year. It would probably be better for him and the team if he just sat out this year and redshirted.
