Have some new tires on the way and have gotten some seemingly ridiculous prices on dismount, mount, and balance. Any of y'all have a recommendation?

That's the way they fight online tire sales.
"You're gonna that special nitrogen/hydrogen mix in them tars. Don't firgit the new, high-pressure valve stems. An' caps."

What do you consider ridiculous?

Get you some ground meat and go to McDonalds and see what they charge you to cook it.

That's a trick question.
Everybody knows McDonalds doesn't use ground meat.

You want cheap? There is a place in the parking lot of the flea market in prairieville off of airline. I think they charge $8.00 per tire.

Yea good call. I pass that place often. Lots of folks vouch for it. Next to Flea Market. Has big cage of tires. can't miss it.

Ok go to The Ground Patty
Point is. When someone calls me to "install" a transmission that they bought, I automatically charge 1000 plus fluid on Rear wheel drive and 1400 on front wheel drives.

I don't blame you a bit.
You get to own the problem going forward ( haha, get it?), so you may as well make it worth your while.

Internet companies like tirerack, com have affiliates who can do the mounting for a fixed price. You can also have them drop ship the tires directly to the affiliate. I used them a few years ago and the work was done by Treads and Car Care in Baton Rouge.

Tires are coming from treaddepot out of Houston. I called one of their shop affiliates and they told me $170 for mount and balance. The tires are 35"

Retailers have caught on and have adjusted their prices accordingly.
The last set I bought was cheaper at the dealership (Ford) than Tirerack.

Jesse's tires down 42.
Really, call a couple places. Some people freak, out when mounting 35's for some reason.

ironic thing is that McDonald's Tire Store on Florida Blvd. does an awesome job and is always cheapest I've come across

Exactly.
Just do your research and find the tire or tires you want, get a narrow range of price, maybe print some stuff out if you want places to try and match prices.
It's not that difficult. Information is power, power is money.
