I remember seeing a rumor that Kevin Gausman was returning for his senior year.

That was fun while it lasted.

In fantasy land of course. If not drafted first overall, he can transfer to Houston. There he can pitch twice a week and build his stock.

He won't be back because he knows he won't beat out Mac Marshall.

Even if he wanted to come back I would hope that the LSU staff and those close to him would question his sanity because dude would be out of his mind to return for his senior year.

I know for a FACT that you NEVER saw that rumor, since Gausman left after his Sophomore year. But hey it's ok. We all make mistakes.

He started that rumor himself. At one point after the draft he said he was leaning toward coming back, but even then, it was obvious that it was pretty much just part of his negotiations with the Orioles.

I only mention that to say, even if Nola says he's considering coming back with his own two lips, nobody should get their hopes up. Any player that says they definitely aren't going back to school basically gives up all their leverage.

If only there was another Nola brother coming in next season to keep Aaron here for his final year.
