Finally got in a salt block I had ordered a couple of months ago that was back ordered, and want to get it going this weekend. Whats is everyone's favorite thing to cook on them?
TIA,
TIA,

Anything seafood would probably be good.
I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on the one from Sur La Table. They're on sale right now for $27.

scallops & shrimp for sure.
i highly recommend you watch a few youtube videos about cleaning your salt block so you dont damage it.
also bring the heat up slowly to avoid cracking it.

I really enjoy just marinating my steaks on it cold. About 45 min per side for a thick filet or ribeye. Probably 30 min per side for a strip. No need to salt after that. Just some cracked black pepper and olive oil and throw it on the BGE. Very good.

Where did you get yours? I lost mine many years ago and I'm ashamed to admit I haven't thought about it in years. I need to get one again because it was pretty fun to cook with. I might buy two this time so I can cook both sides at once.

I personally used to like the beef tips on there the most. But the seafood would come out pretty good as well as mentioned above.

I like doing every type steak on it, the thicker the better IMO. I put a sprig of rosemary underneath them and it turns out great.
I like fish on there too, but thin filets sometimes get over salty.
