LSU College of Engineering Renderings (Updated)

Updated 6/30:
The new exterior pictures have been released. Way better than the first design
Original Post
Does anyone know when they plan to break ground? Is it this fall? Also, IIRC didn't the initial God awful contemporary renderings get thrown out? There could be some traction to that rumor because I can't find any exterior pictures on the website. However, I did find some interior shots which I believe are new. Any insiders?

its not CEBA if you are able to find your classroom on time on the first day of the semester

damn, if it turns out to look like that, it will be one hell of an improvement...
only negative is that the little bathroom on one of the upstairs floors that I used to like to shite in will be gone...

I'm not 100% sure, but If I had to bet, I'd think that this is the look they went with, based on the timeline above.

Golfer will know. get him on here.
also, for fricks sake who is LSU's chief of campus architecture/planning...there was a thread about how worthless the position of 'chief diversity officer' is the other day. Chief of planning is a worthwhile position and whoever we have continues to endorse putrid architecture like this shite that resembles a borg spaceship landing and the masterpiece that is the new business college.
second edit: golfer quelled my fears... for now

Present.
The modern renderings were scrapped. It's going to match the traditional feel of campus. Construction will begin in November, last I heard.

This is one of those time I would literally pay to be wrong, and you right.

Yup. ChemE/lab building will start the day after the Alabama game, and the north end of CEBA will start renovation late 2014/very early 2015. Once the north end is done, we'll move everything around so they can start on the south end of the building. Going to be a long, painful 4 years.
