Would this be an inappropriate thread to start?

I wanted to start a thread on the OT about online shopping, and I was going to include a referral link. Obviously, there's some people who already probably use these services, but I did search and I didn't see any threads on the subject and it should be beneficial to a at least a few people. Would this be considered inappropriate?
