With all his EOs (now EAs) from potentially illegal implementation of Obamacare and climate change regulations and the illegal Libyan war to the recent illegal prisoner exchange is Obama provoking the GOP led house to impeach him? Like a typical criminal each time they skirt or break the law they get more and more embolden by their ability to run roughshod over the GOP led house to implement more agenda items by executive action. Furthermore Obama probably feels that the risk of impeachment would be a political winner for him.

Is he prodding the GOP led house to impeach him?

Wouldn't surprise me. Then the Dems could holler racism! and make an election issue out of it and try to rally the liberal base.

hold hearing is all they will do until after the November elections

No since trying to impeach without a majority in the senate... should that happen in November... let the circus ensue, and the 2016 election go blue again

No.

But he's pushing the outside of the envelope because he knows they won't.

Boehner and Cantor lead impeachment proceedings against the first "black" President?

I'll believe it when I actually see it done.

Removal requires a 2/3 majority. You'd need 67 Senators. Will never happen.

Not a bad strategy, considering it would guarantee another Democrat in 2016 most likely.

Impeachment doesn't necessary mean removal. The house could impeach Obama on some legal grounds with a simply majority. Clinton was impeached by the house on a simple majority vote (and subsequently acquitted by the senate).

To remove the POTUS from office you do need a 2/3 majority like you noted.

I suppose the only thing you gain by impeaching Obama by simple majority is scoring political points with your base.

No.

However, according to one of my co-workers, Obama is the C.E.O. of the United States and all of his middle managers (congress) are trying to stop him from doing his job. My coworker told me that Obama does not need the permission of congress anymore than a CEO needs permission from his or her employees. I suggested some reading material on balance of power.

It is not necessary to impeach Barack Obama. You merely find a friendly judge and file suit against him on grounds of exceeding his constitutional authority. Said judge sets aside all the Obama actions until hearings are held. Go after all the alphabet agencies that are overreaching too. That ought to hold them until it reaches the SCOTUS level.
By suing him claiming his actions are unconstitutional the GOP House stops his executive actions cold. You outdemocrat the Democrats.

No. He's trying to instill as much Marxism as he can before the election. He does not want his movements to get undone. So he is going whole hog in the last 2 years and hoping that most of it cannot be reversed. The big thing to watch in that time is the Supreme Court. There will be 1 or 2 new judges and they will be so far left that Kagen will look like James Madison.

They wouldn't impeach the man is he grew horns and a tail overnight!

They just need to keep standing on those wobbly legs until the Senate flips, and the Tea Party ramps up the investigations. He'll go away then, and shoot golf; stopping on occasion to call his MSM dogs in to pile on whatever reforms the new Congress tries to implement.

I still say there should be a National movement to throw a big holiday style party on the day he goes out. Annually...just so we don't forget.

Actually a CEO has to report to the Board of Directors(congress) and the board has the ability to remove the CEO.

i was implying that you needed at least a majority to bring up the proceedings... Reid will shut it down if he was majority leader

Negative. If the house impeaches, the trial proceeds. It's black and white.
