Does the 3oz limit apply to check baggage as well? Also, are those spray sunscreens allowed in check bags? Seems like the aerosol + pressure change may not be a good combo

No. The 3oz limit does not apply to a checked bag.

I fly with my hairspray and spray sunscreen and other aerosol items all the time in my checked luggage.

Never had any issues.

You can check your 44oz bottle of lube with no problems.

We checked a bag with 24 bottles of sunscreen in it. It'll be fine.

(We had a destination wedding and brought a gift bag for our guests which included things like sunscreen, etc.)

Once checked a bag with a handle of whiskey in it. You will be fine.

It will be fine but if you're worried about it, put it in a ziploc bag.

Those spray cans of sunscreen go pretty fast. Although I would imagine 3 will be enough.

Although....depending on where you are going..you might want to find more eco friendly sunscreen. Ex; If you are snorkeling...a lot of the sunscreen comes off your body in the water and it isn't good for the fish.

My husband FRIED himself when we were on our honeymoon in Costa Rica cause he underestimated how powerful the sun is there.

I've checked boxes of beer and wine without problem. There's no 3 oz. rule in checked bags, just have to watch the weight or you'll get raped by the charges.

Yeah, people really underestimate it and think its like going to Florida.

It isn't. Get a higher SPF and keep reapplying.
