Which if these three things are happening more frequently in recent years?

1. Cops shooting dogs
2. Pit bulls attacking people or other dogs
3. Teachers having sex with students
P.S. The first time I ever heard of a cop shooting a dog was on the OT. I thought it was a one off, but sadly it seems to be a very common occurance these days.

Probably pit bulls. The other 2 probably make the news at a higher rate. But I've seen 2 different pit bull attacks personally, and neither made the news. The teacher/student sex I have first hand knowledge of in my high school made the news, and if a cop shot my dog I would certainly take it to the media.

Way more pit bulls than ever before, so #2. That said, I do think the militarization of police has led to more dog shootings (along with lack of common sense). I'm guessing that in prior decades, police would simply go, "oh look, a black lab with an LSU collar, it probably isn't going to rip my throat out despite the aggressive barking."

Media and social media reporting patterns can influence your perception of the frequencies of these occurrences. Happens with all crimes.
ETA: This is not a commentary on the actually frequency of these events. I have no clue if they are higher or lower. A study would have to be conducted to have an accurate picture.
