How much is it going to run me to put underground dog fence around approx. 1.5 acres, and will it be feasible to do myself

Why not get the wireless with base station? Then you don't have to bury the wire.

They work well? My pointer is a roamer, but she is pretty passive when it comes to be apprehended

From what I've read. I have been looking at them for my ankle biter.
They go out to like 100 ft + diameter circles.

1.3 acres - Innotek Ultra Smart + couple extra spools of wire = $450. You can control the shock intensity and distance from buried wire at which dog receives a warning. This is what I did; Cut my grass on lowest possible setting in an outline for where the wire should be buried, used a gas edger on lowest setting and "trenched" the line where wire should be buried, used my hands and rubber mallet to bury the wire *PITA*. It's been 3 years now and I don;t have a problem with the fence. Squirrels know exactly where they can and can't run, dogs will lay inches from getting shocked and watch the squirrels run back and forth.
Tried the wireless but shock intensity was weak and my metal roof interfered.

They are in a circular diameter range like Wi-Fi... The fence you can run with the line of your property... Don't know cost.. Still looking around my self..

You tell the trainer to put her on pheasants?

I haven't yet. I'm going to send her down there in September for a refresher

We had ours installed for like 1200 or so on 1.3 acres. Best investment ever.

If you're near BR and have a tractor, I've got an implement u can borrow that will lay that wire in about an hour if your yards open enough
