KC is a good town. People are nice. It's clean. Good public schools. Plenty to do.

40 ish, it would be promotion for wife, and would involve a sizeable increase in pay. I could easily move with my job, and we have a 1 year old.

you should 100 precent move then or atleast highly consider it....cheap really nice homes, great public schools(only in ks, seriously), cheap gas, we build your king ranch f150s here, great food, lakes, hunting fishing, 100 dollars round trip to fly to either coasts, fly to co or drive easily. downtown is getting better every day, just went n saw George strait there, the plaza is a sweet area. it's a good town to raise kids for sure

KC won't be too different from suburban Texas. Winters will be tougher and it's a smaller metropolis, but it would be a good place to raise kids.

Would second KansasRedneck's endorsement. I'm from St. Louis. Spent some time in KC. It has a lot going for it. Like most cities, it has bad areas, but land is cheap and life is pretty good there. Be careful, though, it snows there and is in tornado alley.

"Plus it has no culture." Signed, New Orleans
