Most mentally tough teams in sports (recent memory)

Watching the Blackhawks over the last few years, posting their record of 13-0 in Games 5, 6, and 7 in the postseason since 2013, it got me thinking of mentally tough teams in sports. Teams that aren't phased by anything. The Kings, with three Game 7 wins on the road, are very impressive too.
The Blackhawks (until tonight, RIP) have closed teams out when given the opportunity, and stayed alive when facing elimination. At home and on the road. It was really an impressive thing to see.
The Heat, if they can win another thrilling Finals series this year against a team seeking payback, would be another team that could fit that mold. They have the clutch gene. They aren't phased by much.
Chelsea FC and their run to the Champions League crown in 2012 was one of the most impressive things I've seen. Certainly not the best side, but it didn't matter. Went into Munich and won the Champions League Final against Bayern.
So, who would you say are some of the most mentally tested and tough teams you can remember? Teams who did it numerous times. Teams who showed it over and over again. A team that you would really trust in the biggest of big games?

Interesting topic.
Man United under Ferguson ranks up there. My dad described it as "believing in their luck," so many stoppage time goals, etc.
The St Louis Cardinals just always seem to find a way to be competitive and overcome tough situations.

Yankees, late 90s
Yeah, I was gonna mention them. They books and stories I've read on those teams are amazing.
And by the way, these teams don't necessarily have to be teams that won a bunch of titles. Just most of the time they are

Spurs are mentally tough as shite. I wouldn't really penalize them much for last year, but it certainly doesn't help their case

easily this years kings. first round of the playoffs we fall behind 0-3, come back to win, fall behind 3-2 to Anaheim, come back to win, and then go into Chicago and win game 7 while trailing three different times in the game. the kings won 3 games 7s on the road this year and are 7-0 in playoff elimination games this year

They won under every scenario....huge favorites (1998), as the champ with targets on their backs (1999), as underachievers (2000), and nearly made it 4 in a row by blowing by 2 100 win teams in 2001 after 9/11. So many of their wins had them trailing in the late innings only to see them come back. I hate the Yankees with a passion, but they were impressive

Couldn't have said it better. They won like 89 games in 2000.

And this group has fricking crushed through the postseason before as well.
I think the Kings and Blackhawks are both as tough as it gets. A lot of deflection/bouncing puck goals tonight. Just two great teams.

quote:as did the kings in 2012, were they won as an 8 seed after they basically had to run off the last 2/3 weeks of their schedule just to make the playoffs

2 best teams in the NHL at this point. I was for Chicago but didn't mind either way. The winner tonight is the cup champ pretty much

I hope you're right...
