Cracked iPhone....

I have an iPhone 5s 64 that I cracked today......fortunately I have insurance....so what happens next? Do I take it to a apple store and they fix the screen? Do I go to the at & t store make an insurance claim and they send me a new phone?

Take it to the Google store and feel the burn from all the laughter. 
I saw someone's post earlier stating how well built these are. My wife, my daughter and myself all cracked our iPhones. They are as fragile as a china plate.

Not really, I've had iPhones for the last 3 years and have dropped them hundreds of times. I guess this one was just the wrong angle.

Since you have insurance I'd guess Apple store but you can call them first to be sure.
On the other hand, it's an easy repair (and very cheap) if you want to fix it yourself. Tons of videos how on YouTube.

Not the 5s' screen to my knowledge. I think they changed the cables? I think the lowest I saw was $130? $150? I forget. This is just the screen + tools about 2-3 months ago.

Is your insurance Apple Care? If so, take it to an Apple Store not your carrier store. You might have to come out of pocket a little bit (I think they have something like a deductible) so might want to compare fixing it yourself vs making a claim.

Apple Care go to Apple and pay deductible.
If it's some kind of insurance you pay extra each month to AT&T that covers screen damage then go to AT&T.
