Family sues vet who kept dog secretly alive

quote:

A Fort Worth couple has filed a $1 million lawsuit against the vet who kept their dog Sid secretly alive for six months after he was supposed to have been euthanized due to a diagnosed congenital spine defect.

quote:

Six months later, the couple was tipped off by a vet tech at Tierce's clinic that Sid was being kept alive, caged in deplorable conditions and being used for blood donations.

this is pretty damn crappy...but got me thinking...

there really is no blood bank for animals, so where does blood for transfusions on pets normally come from?...

Didn't anyone read ol yeller?,

This is why you must kill your own pets when it is time. Trust no one.

$1M? Lulz.

The state of Illinois has recently awarded a human much less for being wrongfully incarcerated for like eighteen years.

As a vet myself, this is disgusting. Takes a special kind of fricked up to do something like that.

As far as where we (vets) get blood for transfusions, either from vet specialists hospitals who have blood products frozen or from donor dogs who's owners allow them to donate (large dogs only)

And how in the hell can you trust someone with a name like

quote:

Millard Lucien "Lou" Tierce III, DVM
?

That's a super villain name if I've ever seen one

I'm pretty much the authority on anything and everything to do with dogs.

If I had taken my dog in who was suffering to be put down and found out later they didn't do it, I would be furious too.
I can't stand to see an animal suffer. Hope he loses his license to practice.

I disagree. theres no borderline about it.

if I beat a dog in public and got caught, I would be charged with animal cruelty. this is a thousand times worse

I would be sick to my stomach. Can't imagine. If vet doesn't lose his license then that is bullshite.

I said borderline so I didn't incite the "it's just a dog" crowd.

it's fricking sadistic torture. a trained vet should be well aware of how fricked up this is. do they not have ethics training?
