Had to go for lunch today in BR.

Two things:

They added booths, and the dining room isn't loud like it was when I went a few months ago.

The 3 course lunch for $19 is the best lunch deal in town. I got a salad, the grilled salmon, and the custard. I didn't feel like bread pudding.

All together, there were 6 of us, and we all got a 3 course lunch for under $160.

Food was great. Service too.

Good to know about the noise level. It was pretty brutal at one time.

You need to use at least 3 words in your title or an admin is going to anchor it.

Title changed. Thanks.

And yes, the noise was horrible the last time I went, and I wasn't looking forward to going again. The booths damper a lot a noise it seemed, because the room was busy. Our server said they are putting a rug in, and some curtains on top of the booths to dampen noise even more.

I agree that it's a great deal for lunch. I'm craving oysters rock right now.

ETA: I've wondered if they made a claim against their architect. Surely they discussed the noise issue before building. There was a noise issue at the first bistro.

The lunch is $19.05 in honor of the year they opened and I enjoy it but it has been awhile. I prefer Jubans but I do enjoy sitting outside and having a couple appetizers on a nice cool afternoon. Glad they have toned it a bit but I'll sit on the toilet before I sit in a booth. Just not a fan, nor is my body.

I love booths, for some reason.

Owner signs off on the drawings. I wouldn't think they could make a claim for noise level in a restaurant. Claim he's a dumbass for using that much ceramic tile but not much else.

And actually I believe they want it loud and had that in mind but realized it was just too loud. I like loud and energetic sometime but not so loud I can talk to the table. And it was that loud.

My bad, yes, it 19.05.

That said, server said that 3 of the 5 entree options on the 3course lunch menu change weekly, and that it is only a 2 buck up charge if you want Turtle soup or Gumbo instead of the Salad/French Onion course option. That's pretty cool.

Went for lunch week and had the burger. It was extremely impressive in stature, choice and quality of ingredients. It was surprisingly bland though. Though should make the burger patty itself a bit smaller and season it more IMO. Though it is a burger you need to be familiar with in BR
