I looked for a thread discussing the original story (couldn't find it, SIAP), which goes as follows:

A woman married a "widower" instead of a man her family arranged for her. They are pissed and demand the equivalent of ~$1K or else they'll kill him and their daughter. New husband can't pay, so they stone her to death brutally in broad daylight infront of a courthouse in a major city.

WELLLLL as it turns out, this husband that she married instead of the one her family wanted, had killed his previous wife so that he could marry this woman. So basically no one is innocent here except the victim.

WTF is up with this? Is this a tribal or religious tradition, the honor killing?

she probably was an accomplice in the other wife killing, or at least was well aware and encouraged it.

Very possible. But it was 6 years ago.

To be honest I'm surprised she was in her 20s and being married off. Surprised she wasn't a teen.

Oh and her family wanted her to marry her cousin

Zulfiqar Hameed, district inspector general for the Punjab police, said Iqbal's son from the first marriage alerted police to the slaying six years ago.

Iqbal was arrested but later released on bail because his son forgave him, Hameed said.

Dafuq?

The son turns his dad in for killing his mom. Son forgives dad so he's off the hook?

Is this real life?

What are your morals based on? If they aren't Judeo-Christian, I'd love to know the source.

Go review how women are treated in each of those countries and get back to me. Every single day women are raped and killed and the leaders do nothing. Not a single thing changes in those shitholes.

I'll wait for your apology.
