I'm not happy about what happened last night in Austin!! I got zero sleep and the trail was a river this morning

On another note, the other day Edouard was briefly the first major hurricane since "Super Storm" Sandy....

Also, the models are hinting at something brewing in the Gulf in the 7-10 day range. It seems like this is the trend for this season, show something forming in the Gulf but then slowly switch to a solution that favors the EPAC.

That tropical wave definitely has potential to grow into something special. Need to see a tighter eye though before I'm impressed.

The Atlantic has come alive with the remnants of Fay heading of to the NE of Bermuda, major hurricane Gonzalo heading for Bermuda and there is a massive storm in the N. Atlantic.

Also, the models have been wanting to spin up something in the Gulf. This will be something to watch next week, since it seems a bit more legit than the parade of false alarms that the GFS has been spitting out.

Has LA ever had a 'cane hit after a cold wave came through? I've always felt safe once that first cold front moves through and the lows dip into the 50s.

Didn't Cabo already get crushed about a month or two ago? Regardless, hope it doesn't get more damaged than it has been...
