H-town is abuzz about the Cougars college baseball team w a nice writeup about how they are potentially "Omaha bound" in 2014. Their pitching staff has 3rd best ERA in country and they have half-dozen pitchers that are outstanding. Rice is usually the team they write about here in Houston b/c of their excellent history but UofH seems to be the trendy pick in 2014. Hopefully LSU will continue their excellent play on the field and get through the 1st round. It will be another awesome challenge. Just letting everyone know and serving notice that Houston appears to be another Stony Brook waiting to happen. Let's hope NOT. Geaux Tigers!

If any team beats us with Nola on the mound, they will have earned the victory

One is a top 15 team and one was a 4 seed. Seems legit.

Houston is really good this year. They have really strong pitching and play great defense. Their offense however is not that great. We shouldn't have issues with them, especially with Nola on the mound.

I have followed them pretty close this year because a close family friend of ours son is their starting second baseman.

I wouldn't want to see our tigers get springer dingered, so I'll pass on the Stros in our regional.

That really good basketball team in the early 80's. When they had Hakeem Olajuwon

I don't care how good their arms are.

Nola is the best pitcher in the country
Poche has been great at home
our bullpen shut out the #2 seed, and many more.

LSU will beat Southeastern easily with Poche
Nola will shut down the Houston bats, we score 2 runs we win.
Our bullpen who has been mostly strong except a couple weekends, will give us one win over Houston who will have depleted arms. (keep in mind if Nola beats houston we can lose one game and still move on)

edit: did anyone forget this team lost to UConn a sub .500 team in their Conference tourney?
