Really cool video that I just came across. It's a year old so maybe it's already been posted, and sorry if that's the case. But really sweet highlight video. Inevitably this will turn into a MJ/Lebron bitchfest. But, it would be really cool if we could limit this thread to only discussion on how good these guys were/are and how fun it has been and it is to watch them. Two of the best athletes that this world has ever seen.

To be fair the title of the video is

The fact that this is even a question proves Lebron is in the tops all time. But Jordan is just floating out there in another universe.

He beat a team of nba all stars with monster bodies with two rabbits, a duck, a pig, and Bill Murray as teammates.

i don't think poeple appreciate the fact that Jordan made everthing look so easy. Lebron is close to matching him statistically, but he doesn't the grace of MJ and never will. Stat boys won't like this, but it is why I think MJ is GOAT forever.

That video showed lots of dunks. Lebron in open space. MJ on people.

Lebron is more powerful than Jordan, but Jordan had something special about him that is unmeasurable.

Lebron is so good an I agree with what Magic said, that he's learning now how to control a game. He plays at his pace and knows how to close.

I think MJ is the best and that Lebron will end up being right behind him. He'll probably have 5-6 titles too.

Not to mention Lebron plays in an NBA that doesn't allow nearly as much contact as Jordan's NBA. It's neither Lebron's or Jordan's fault but imagine if Jordan played in Lebron's NBA.

MJ would average 50 a game in today's NBA. That's not me saying that, it's a lot of NBA people saying it. Don't care to google and link.

The single biggest thing that bothers me about Lebron is that it doesn't seem like he goes all out all the time. MJ played harder. He practiced harder. He had a stronger internal drive. Might have something to do with his career not being handed to him on a silver platter from HS like Lebron. And, there's no question who you want taking the last shot - hell, even in Miami I think Wade is the better option there.

And - I think it's really something that Lebron is a fluke ray allen 3 pointer away from being 1-3 in the NBA Finals. People conveniently forget that. There's not a team in NBA history that was closer to winning a Finals and lost than San Antonio last year. If he misses that shot, this topic doesn't exist.

I agree.

It's not a knock on James, it's just tough to compare anyone to MJ, who was basically the perfect storm of athleticism, skill, work ethic and competitiveness.

I may be reaching here, but I think MJ could even defend LBJ well and not vice versa.

I'm an old fart who hated MJ. Pulled against him every time he played. Constantly shaking my head at how great he was. I do think Lebron is in the same paragraph as Jordan, not the same sentence.

Like I said earlier about those dunks, Jordan dunked on people, a lot. Yes, Lebron occasionally posterized someone (J. Terry), but as big and strong as he is, if he took 1/4 the contact MJ took, he'd never be able to handle it.

LeBron could post MJ up every play and score on him. MJ couldn't do that to him

I'm not saying LeBron is better or LeBron would win a 1 on 1 against MJ.

I'm just responding to his statement saying MJ could defend him well and not vise versa

I figured the post up response would be the first argument. It's legit, but I'm not completely sold.

LeBron is taller, bigger, and stronger.

He could definitely post him up and back him down to the rim in a 1 on 1 situation
