Roger, the drug dealer, sure did make a ton of money selling dope to kids,

Also, during denzel's monologue in the car with ethan he says roger was a high roller...A dope dealer is considered a high roller in the los angeles ghetto?

That wasn't really the ghetto and he might've been so big he understood nobody would frick with him.

It never says how much weight he is moving. I guess that we are to assume that he is a higher up distributer, and Lonzo didn't mean that he was literally selling dope directly to kids.

Knowing Alonzo, I wouldn't be surprised if he was full of shite about this. Dude seemed like he lied about everything in the movie.

Can someone answer a question for me about a particular scene in this movie?

When Jake is playing cards with the Hillside gang inside the house and the guy says "Sure, I always get love from the homies"...Why did Jake get pissed off and throw the cards in his face? I think he felt cornered and he felt like he had to make a move.

They were fricking with him, and he started to realize that it wasn't just normal trash talk.

Pretty much how I saw it. It was just that moment where he realized what kind of fricked up situation that he had put himself into, and that Lonzo had set him up.

Did you forget the chest filled with money that they dug up in his kitchen?

I don't think Roger was selling dime bags to teenagers. Denzel said he sold drugs to kids just meaning he sells drugs and kids end up doing alot of those drugs. And he wasn't referring to Roger as a high roller in Los Angeles society, just as a big player in the city's dope game.

no, that was the first thing i referenced...not directly, but indirectly

they proly should've tweaked the lines a bit to clarify roger's charachter more on his drug dealings...

When you got 4 million in cash sitting under your floor in the kitchen and you drink $500 a glass shite(or whatever absurd amount it was), I would say you are considered a high roller
