I was on the fence but MK8 and backwards compatibility finally made me do it. I never bought a Wii and feel like I missed out on some games I want to play.

HIGHLY recommend picking up Super Mario Galaxy 1 and Super Mario Galaxy 2. The first one is the best Mario game ever made IMO.

Correct decision.
The other consoles are good only if you want to play some generic mainstream fps titles. And you're a pc gamer so you'll have access to most of them anyway.
I love my wii u and 3ds.

I manage and work on repo houses and find stuff all the time. I have about 40 Wii games I found including Mario Bros Wii, Mario Party 8, and like 3 copies of Mario Kart with the wheel and stuff.
I need to look and see what else I have.

I was so tempted the other day in GameStop to do it just for MK8, but $330 was just too much for me
