Must be your local affiliate. I got 1 hour of pre-game, plus every minute of injury and extra time, plus post game and trophy presentation/celebration.

But that does suck, though.

I'm sure they showed it, but my parents' DVR didn't pick up all of it

My cable provider had it set from 1:45 to 4:00. I set up the DVR to go to 4:30, and the game ended around 4:20.

I didn't watch it until after the Duke game, but I think we had similar situations with the tv coverage.

I'm sure that my parents' DVR gave me the option to extend it, but I'm not used to it and got in really late yesterday. Just set it on the game and let it go. That was stupid of me

You are very right, but I am still mad

Honestly, I made it to like 105. It was such a let down

Yeah, I missed the trophy presentation. It cut off right as the referees were walking to the podium. I mean I didn't really care at all, but the game definitely went on for longer than they slotted it for.

Please tell me you got to see the woman illegally smoking a cigarette out of stress right in front of the camera, as the first overtime was starting. Definitely a moment that someone turned into a GIF

Nah, used the breaks to go get a beer/shower/eat

The only break that really stuck in my mind was the one featuring the Real Madrid female fan with a crown

You should have extended the recording knowing it was a cup final. You should know that by now.

American TV can't even come close to setting out the correct blocks for American college football on program guides. Don't expect the same to happen for soccer.

Does suck though man

ETA: if it makes you feel better my local NBC affiliate would air cartoons in lieu of the promised premiere league games this past season

I got the early ACC football, then basketball, then baseball games on mine.

You're definitely right. I'm a bit of an idiot. I very rarely have to DVR cup finals, though. I'm mostly just venting

ETM, my affiliate did the opposite for the entire year

ETA: My parents live in Western St. Tammany. That's weird if their games were overruled like that. I'll have to ask them about it.

Yeah I really noticed it the last few months of the season when they would air a game on NBC. I would be watching NBCSports and then switch over as they said at game time and cartoons. Program guide would say the game but cartoons the entire damn time.

In other news, Gus Johnson still sucks at announcing soccer games. I turned off the volume and listened to a radio show about the Donovan thing.
