What single event would you change in your past if you could?

I took my kids to see the new X-Man movie "Days of Future Past." It got me thinking about moments in the past that were game changers. I think if I could go back and change one thing it would be trying to save my best friend who hung himself in the 4th grade. I started drinking in the 6th grade and got wild as a buck in junior high. That one event got me off course and several others just like me. Is there an event that you would go back and change if you could?

Knowing what I know now, I would not have gotten married when I was 25.

My little brother would probably change his decision to go out last night and not call me to come get his arse from the bar. Instead he called our parents from EBR parish prison. DWI at 18 isn't cool.

Tell me OP, how'd you start "drinking" in 6th grade? Lol what a load of shite.

Yeah maybe you had your first beer but using that phrase is best left to those who polish off a case or fifth a night everynight

You were doing your homework and sneaking a beer in here and there I imagine

I would have absolutely gone to college instead of not using my scholarship and getting married instead.

He was a hot head. We also were really into D&D. Some think it was that but my theory is that he was jus trying to scare them but slipped and actually hung himself. They were having a big argument and took the school desk in his room and tied several belts and a jump rope to the knob of a door and hung on the other side of the door. The thing I regret the most is that my family went to see a cheesy kids movie like the Wilderness Family that day. My dad suggested I invite my friend. I said no he would think it is stupid. He died while I was at the movie.

Knowing what I know now, I wouldn't have been such a whore and would have found one woman and stuck with her. I have had quite a few good ones that I blew off. Secondly, I would've stayed in school I just got so tired of being broke and had all intentions of going back, I never did. I should never have done drugs. Lastly I should've walked away from my last wife long before it cost me my career and later my freedom for almost two years. That is all.
