Against the death penalty on moral and practical grounds, so no.

Bullets are still pretty cheap. Probably cheaper than the amount of electricity it costs to fry a convict...

Cheaper than warehousing them for 30+ years

As a younger guy, I fully supported the death penalty, and it didn't really matter, IMO, how it was accomplished.

As a pushing 50 year old/pretty damn old guy, I no longer support it - at least not in the way it's currently executed (ha ha, get it?)

Yes. If the Europeans want to hold back the drugs needed to do it as humanely as you can with something like this then yeah, bring back the chair

I agree. Some idiots in Europe are keeping the drugs needed for executions away from the US because they don't believe in the death penalty.

Ropes are cheaper though and can be used multiple times.

Not to mention the innocent who've been executed "in error." That's a pretty big FU to those people, too.

I watched a show on Discovery Channel about the death penalty. They interview the guy in charge of executions for 30+ years at Parchman Prison in MS.

He said if he was being executed and had to chose between The Electric Chair, Lethal Injection, and Gas Chamber. He said he would take the Electric Chair without a doubt. When done right he said it was instant. The other two not so much. Said the Gas Chamber was brutal.
