I'd like to see a breakdown of the costs considering that they are going to be paid regardless of which type of trial they tend to. Yu can't just say this trial took 2 weeks and this many manhours so that's it's cost. The da gets paid the same whether he is in court or roaming the halls. Same for judges and indigent defenders.
Hell, 85% of cases are pled out therefore "saving" money. Why not plead out 98% if cost is our greatest concern?
