I'm just as sad as most other people on here about the exclusion of Donovan. But he's not going to Brazil so it's time to focus on those 23 men who are coming. Post your starting XI prediction here along with other discussions

Chandler-Cameron-Besler-Fabian

Jones-Bradley

Zusi-Dempsey-Bacon

Altidore

That's what I would want to see but I'm 100% sure it won't happen.

I think we play a 4-4-2.

As awesome as that lineup would be from an attacking standpoint, it would be even worse from a defending standpoint. Bradley needs to be the focus of our attack. Putting him in the hole with well known tactical wizard Jermaine Jones left to protect the backline is suicide.

Dempsey is awful tracking back. I don't think Aron Bacon would be very adept protecting Fabian Johnson. Zusi is fairly adept defending in space.

I'm down with that. Pair Jozy with Bacon.

I think we'll see some different looks in the send off series.

I'm just throwing shite out there that doesn't involve Beasley playing LB. I like Bedoya but most people around here don't think he's starting material.

I can see Bedoya starting and Aron coming off the bench.

We changed our formation from a 4-2-3-1 to a 4-4-2 with a much weaker team than the one we're bringing to Brazil and curbstomped (4 goals in one half) a B&H team that hadn't lost in WC qualifying... in EUROPE.

I think we're more likely to see Fab play LW now with Zusi at RW than anything else.

Chander -- Cameron -- Besler -- Beasley

-------- Jones ------ Bradley ---------

Zusi ----------- Deuce ----------- Fab

--------------- Jozy ----------------

Also we've looked at our best under Jurgen when playing the 4-4-2. Without a doubt.

If we play a 4-2-3-1 I think this is how we come out.

The 4-4-2 would be defensive suicide in our group IMO

I guess your first options off the bench are Diskerud and Johannsson.

You play Wondo if you're throwing caution to the wind and just need a goal late in the game.

Klinsmann would have some big old balls, if he dropped Jozy and played Johannsson as more of a false 9, letting Zusi, Bedoya, Johnson and co. control the corners of the box a la Robben or Nasri.

The more I think about that, the better it sounds.

Fabian at LB might be a better option than Beasley for this group. I don't fricking know, tbh

I can see this, with Bacon as the first sub in the second half. I hate Beasley as left back though. He will be facing many guys who are physical, almost as fast as him, and very technically sound. He is not the answer.

Fab is definitely a better option than Beasley but the problem is who's the better option at LM outside of Fabian?

frick this.

Fab is much better than Beasley at LB but Fab may also be much better than our other options at LW
