I see a lot of preventative suggestions online, but what are ways to repair/fix the areas?

TIA

Why did the grass die? Disease, bugs?

Four possibilities:

1) The soil that the grass is planted in doesnt have enough nutrients to support it (run a soil test)
2) The grass isn't getting enough water (does your irrigation system hit that area?)
3) The grass isn't getting enough sunlight (St Aug needs a certain amount of sun, too much shade will kill it)
4) You have a disease or infestation

I would start with 1 and work my way to 4.

It's my home. About 1.5 yrs old. For the most part the yd/grass is healthy. I have a few area that have turned brown/died completely that used to be healthy areas.

How can I take a phone photo and upload? Where do I sent the pic to get that done and then I'll post close up pics of the area.

TIA

Just a heads up, because of the way most builders have to grade your lot they end up scraping away the topsoil and dropping sod on top of clay or poor soil.

Looks fine for a year or two, then the grass starts to die off due to lack of nutrients. If you're really worried about having a good lawn I'd run the soil test, if not treat with a disease spray off the rack at home depot and hope for the best.

Yep, 4 of them. And I know where they like to pee and I'm not including those brown spots in my issue, lol But that was my original thought. However, the spots I am talking about are dead spots. Grass is almost completely gone and dead. Im looking at dirt.

ANyone, answer on my posting pics? How do I post from a mobil phone and get them on here?

Those spot may need extra attention with water and fert. You never know what's under the soil.

But grass will grow over a concrete sidewalk just fine. Give it some water and nutrients and it will grow anywhere.
