He said he would walk to the other side of street late at night if a black kid in a hoodie was approaching, but covered himself by adding he would do the same thing if he crossed a white dude with tattoos.

He basically said if he were walking along a dark street and saw a black kid in a hoodie or a tatted up white guy on his side of the street, he'd cross the street to avoid them.

Like any normal person.

Essentially that we all have some form of prejudices and gave some examples of his. His overall point is spot on but the media is jumping all over him.

Was all over the radio this morning. Funny thing is they read his comments, including the one about a white dude with a shaved head and tattoo. Then proceeded to debate whether the comment about a black guy wearing a hoodie was racist.

Exactly. If I'm behind a terrible driver, I immediately make assumptions around the type of person driving.

What if an old person is driving a car oncming in the street or a woman texting... do you still cross the street and risk life in the street over risking your life passing by a black guy in a hoodie or a white bald guy with a tatttoo? Decisions decisions.

Greenberg, Bruce Bowen and Chris Carter were on this morning and man were they appalled from high atop their ivory towers.

True and more than likely people on here share those same things, but a person in his position should not be coming out and saying that, especially with what the NBA is dealing with now.
He doesn't gain anything by doing it and had already made his opinion known earlier on

i'm sure Greenberg would have no qualms about walking through the hood in the middle of the night

and bowen and carter have obviously never said one bad thing about white people in their lives
