Good deals: The National, Alabama Shakes, Counting Crows, 311

Shitty deals: Daughtry, Black Eyed Peas, LMFAO

Surprised we never got Stroke 9 or Verve Pipe for a band party. Also surprised Charlie Robison is so cheap.

We once called Earth, Wind and Fire reps for shits and gigs in college to see if they would play a fraternity party and they told us $150,000.

Anybody know or wanna guess how much a local band like bag of donuts might cost? I don't see how any professional band could go for less than 1000.

No. They will go wherever they are told if it means a paycheck.

We booked big gigantic right before they blew up for like 7k.

I can't imagine that figure still being correct for Moon Taxi.

They played at a frat house this year. I doubt their prices have grown THAT much. What is the general budget for those football weekend shows?

Yea you're right, but they're definitely in the 10-20k tier these days instead of 5-10.

As far as budget, it all depends on the game that weekend and if you have a bunch of smaller parties after every game or 2 or 3 for the big matchups.

For $5-10k, me and few friends should get together and just book Deer Tick to play our backyard.

i deal with Deer Tick's agent all the time and could them for a lot less than $10K, so you guys get the money together.

i actually was able to book one of my favorite artists IRL. Damien Jurado was less than $1300 other people helped me cover the bill.

JW, we ran into the Tontons at Hangout and then brought us backstage for their set. Met Shakey Graves back their too. Both of them said that they really enjoyed playing at M+W and wanted to tell me to tell you thanks again for bringing them down there.
