I would like to buy a new tablet to surf, stream, use for work (access to Microsoft programs and email), and play a few games on. I would like to stay under $400 as I will really only use it when I'm traveling for work.

Dell Venue Pro 8 is what you're looking for LINK

I'm sure you can find it cheaper other places

I wish mobile links automatically went to normal sized when on a computer.

Do you have one? How is the streaming on it? Is it quick with watching movies and such on netflix?

Should go as quick as your internet allows.

I have a Venue 8 Pro. Excellent for Video streaming. I also use it for casual surfing. It comes with Office Home and Student but an 8 inch screen is challenging to use if you are trying to do work.

You can get a Bluetooth keyboard as well

I'm waiting for my Venue 8 Pro to be delivered. After watching a ton of reviews on youtube it looks like a great cheap little tablet that can run full windows 8.1. If you want to go with Android I have a Nexus 7 and it's a great tablet. Kitkat runs very well even though the specs aren't top of the line. The Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 looks pretty good but I didn't think it was worth almost twice what the Nexus 7 cost.

I just got a dell venue (whichever one is the android version) and it's super small. It looks like a big cell phone, too small to really be good for streaming. I'm thinking about trading it for something with a little bigger screen that still has usb ports.

Yes you can get office for iPad now but it costs like $100 a year I think.

Eta: the office apps themselves are free, but to actually use them you have to subscribe to something for $100 a year

I would also like a USB port. Does the venue offer this?

If you get office 365, you can put it on a tablet and your phone.

Yeah it's really stupid and ridiculous that it's a per year thing. I wouldn't mind a one time purchase, but to pay that every year is not worth it.

You can upgrade to the Venue 11 Pro for a larger screen and USB ports.

Office 365 gives you 5 full professional licenses for $99 per year.

That's understandable if you were to actually use it on 5 computers/tablets. I would only need it on 1 iPad though because my other computers already have it from work.

The venue 11 pro has a usb port. The 8 doesn't have a usb port but you can use a usb on the go adapter.
