Would make sense. Increased profits, extra games, new TV deals, etc.

weak sauce. you aren't going to be able to quantify how much salary cap increases due to strictly 2 extra post season games and what was due to then normal increases and tv revenue and all that crap. Last year i bought an extra few beers than normal, i think that caused it to go up a few mill.

It will increase but it won't be a huge bump since it's only 2 games. But they are playoff games which means more money from the networks for the rights to them vs. a regular season game.

Chad504baw, the additional two games means additional TV revenue, which in turn means extra money for the cap. The salary cap is tied to TV revenue, not gate or concessions.

all those words formulated in sentences certainly looks the part and makes for sound logic but lets not put the cart before the horse and start assuming all kinds of assumptions.

The NFL draft received a 6.8 Nielsen rating on ESPN despite competition with NFL network (1.9) and NBA playoffs (2.6 and 2.7).

Only 1 NBA final game last year received a higher rating.

The Saints/Eagles playoff game last year had a 9.9 rating with over 30 million viewers.

I would have to imagine the 2 playoff games are worth a lot of money.
