What draft pick are you LEAST excited about. *Rooks doesn't count*

For me it's Fortt. I've watched a couple of his games at Cal, and he doesn't seem to have good instincts. He's been described as being a sideline to sideline player, but in these games, he hesitated a lot and looked slow.
He looked to be a better player at Penn St. I'm not sure why that was. Maybe he had a more defined role and a better overall defensive scheme there. Cal's defense was pretty bad last year.
Obviously the staff sees something in Fortt that I don't, but there isn't a hole lot to be excited about at this point.

I think it's this. The Cal defense Fortt's only year there was pretty damn awful.
I'd probably say him or Powell, though. Both seem to have some upside, but Powell has had some knee issues before.

Fortt is a guy I really like.
Vinnie to me seems the biggest reach. And why take Rooks out? He was drafted as a OT project. Your like...giving him the whiteout treatment. Let him stand on his own. He can take it pops.

I'm least excited about Cooks. I was told that CSP didn't draft receivers under 6'.

Vinny Sunseri, dude frickin sucks kangaroo nuts.

That's actually not true.

And we should only expect like 47 catches for 380 yards out of him.

I won't pretend to be a scout, but I've watched a couple of Fortt's games and came away pretty impressed (there's a few complete games on him on Youtube). It seemed like his biggest problem (besides injuries) was shedding blocks. He hits the hole hard against the run, but can get washed out. I didn't see him drop in coverage that much in those few games, but the times he did he seemed like he did a decent job there.
As far as looking slow, I didn't see that. There were a few times where he ran down RBs from behind in the open field, or came across the field to make a play.
This Cal blog does a pretty good job of describing some of the same things I saw in the few games of his that I watched: LINK

Sorry, it's ant dick. My bad.

I can't deal with another lousy linebacker pick.

Wait, if rooks don't count, which picks are we talking about?
Last year's?
Last year's?

He hasn't before, which is why the jury will be out on Cooks. I agree I'm least excited about this little guy. The majority of 10 TD, 1000 yard receivers in the NFL are over 6'3

So your more excited about Vinnie and Rooks than Cooks?

Jean-Baptiste was probably the most exciting pick. Vinnie will be a special teams contributor from the start. Maybe a Steve Gleason role.

I think the team wants him to be our next Fred McAfee. Leader on special teams and fill in depth at the safety position.

SJB
Gonna be buried on the depth chart. PRob is gonna light camp up and be the #2. White is a perfect #3 for Nickel. He'll be the 5th corner this season.
Honestly don't ever see him amounting to much for us. Hope I'm wrong.

Herring is getting up there in years. I don't think Vinnie will ever be a starter for this team (maybe somewhere else), but he could be a ST ace and a nice role player ala Bush/Harper.
