All you need is vermouth and dirty Tony's to make what y'all like though. Some stuffed olives.

That's just what I slam with a dose of horse tranq.

That's it. Add olive juice to your tastes.

Forget the vermouth, gin with a splash of olive juice either chilled or on the rocks.

And vodka =\= martini

Dirty refers to the olive juice. A dry martini refers to vermouth. I think a straight up extra dirty martini is simply vodka and olive juice. A dry martini uses vermouth and less olive.

Am I wrong here?

ETA: I am--needs gin for a true martini. I prefer vodka because I will cut your arse after drinking gin.

I like mine dirty.
Coat glass in dry vermouth.
Shake 2:1 Hendricks and olive juice.
Shake until your hands can't handle the cold.
Strain, garnish, fall in love.

Agree with you on the gin, but don't understand how you can consider it a martini without vermouth. Y'all need to get on the small batch vermouth bandwagon and ditch that noli and martini and Rossi shite. Pick you some dolin vermouth and thank me later.

As a traditionalist, my martini recipe is one part vermouth, two parts gin and a lemon twist.

Eta: the martini must be stirred and not shaken. A cloudy martini is
