Search for Pescador. They're discussed about once a week. I think there was a thread about them specifically a few weeks ago.

That is a steal as long as it is the 12' model.

Any of you other cats out there trying to ride plastic need to go get one of those too.

I was kayak shopping and over heard a couple speaking with a worker at Acadamy. They said because of the sale, they are flying off the rack and there is no way to know when a store gets one without calling regularly. They even tried to pay now/rain check and the store would not. It sounded like this couple had been to quite a few stores lol.

What's better the pescador or ascend?

50/50 on Pescador and Ascend.

Pescador has a little better quality hull design, but you can stand in the Ascend and have more storage.

Basically, if you are dead set on wanting to stand and fish, get the Ascend. If you arent worried about standing, get the Pescador.

Looks like on their site the sale is only on the green, the purple/yellow/, or the red/yellow models. The solid red one is still marked at $499.99.

Your comments didn't convince me. However, my physical attributes may be a little different than yours

Thanks for the input everyone. After checking it out I took the leap. Ended up getting the purple/yellow because the only green one they had was the display and it was beaten up. Can't wait to hit the water.
