Thinking of hauling my 17' CC down to Orange Beach/Perdido area late June/early July. Would appreciate any tips/spots to try out for catching some fish down there.
Thanks
Thanks

Mobile Bay / Dixie Bar area - mid Fort Morgan - Dauphin Island. Launch at the end of For Morgan Rd right before the fort and hang a left.
Ono Island
The pass is pretty shitty but you can catch a few

Follow the charter boats. About 2 miles straight out from the bridge, there is some construction debris that was dropped out there. Kings and Spanish usually hang out around it. I have also caught red fish under the bridge fishing on the bottom but its not easy fishing around the bridge in a 17'. That is just my .02 from the charter trips I have gone out on. Good luck!

Caught some at big lagoon state park right on top of al/fl line. We drifted over the line probably 8 times total

There's a man made reef just inside the pass, marked with pilings. You'll catch a little bit of everything there. We got mostly mangroves and flounder.

I take a charter out there every year, no where close to Louisiana fishing, but we go out about 2-3 miles from pass. Get some Spanish and king. They fish for reds around boat docks and piers but I've never had luck. The guys go for day to get away from the wives and kids

The small pass in orange beach leading into the gulf. You have to drive your car over the bridge. I fished it and caught a few reds, but heard if you get there early you'll wear them out. Its kind of deep some sharks have been caught, but mostly reds and other aquatic life forms. I'd give it a try.
