The post by 12Pence has enough information to keep someone very busy for weeks. All of the food looked good and made me hungry.

I'll add one new place since 12pence's very good list was put together. Josephine. . I think it's owned by the same people who now run Burger Up, which is just down the street.

great post in previous thread.

i did a few food network stops on my last trip: DDD went to Salvatore's and Bro's Cajun Cuisine. They were both pretty good....I had to try Bro's to see how close it was to Louisiana food, he actually does a good job - Abbeville fella. I was staying at the Vanderbilt Renaissance, so I cruised across the street to the little bbq shop by the park that had the White BBQ Sauce Pulled Turkey Sandwich from Best Thing I Ever Ate....liked it as well.

Kayne Prime is good, but not spectacular. Do something other than the high end steakhouse in Nash, IMO.

there's a steak chef in Nashville by the name of cad7654321 sumptin, that's a legend in cooking aged steaks. Might want to give it a try?

Lots of good suggestions in that thread. Would add the following:

Two Ten Jack - a new Japanese izakaya and ramen shop (opened in Feb.)

Martin's Barbecue has opened a branch on Belmont, supposed to be as good as the original location in Nolensville (my favorite cue in the area). Get a redneck taco...

Don't overlook the Thai/Lao and Vietnamese places here (King Market, Kien Giang, Miss Saigon, Smiling Elephant, etc.)

If you're into Mexican, just take a drive down Nolensville Road. Lots of good places (Fogatas, Las Americas, La Hacienda Tacqueria, etc.)

Smiling Elephant is great for Thai.

How is the Vietnamese in Nashville? What's the best? I've been craving some good Vietnamese lately.

Any good Indian restaurants?

Kien Giang and Miss Saigon are both good, but my single favorite Vietnamese dish is the beef & carrot stew (#28)
at Vinh Long just off Murfreesboro Road. I get it as a noodle soup and it is great, if you like it spicy.

went to edley's last night.

they were out of brisket and chicken.

the pork was pretty good but, no where near worth the wait. if only that tour guide would not tell people this place was one taylor swift's favorite places.

Edley's gets stupid crowded.

I ate at Lockland Table the other night for the first time. Really good pizza and also had a good pork chop. I recommend Lockland Table.

I know I'm late on this, but Sam's in the village is one of the greatest sports bars I've ever been too. You have to be into the original dive sports bar vibe, if you like the new fancy places you'll think its grungy. Its one of the most diverse crowds I've ever seen.
