An observation about Dallas

I relocated to the Big D from SE Louisiana just under 3 years ago.
Has anyone not noticed just how widespread and popular tatoos are here in Dallas? This seems to be even more noticeable when the masses come out.
In contrast, Tatoos just didn't seem quite as popular among the masses in South Louisiana from someone who lived there for many years.
Am I safe in saying that tatoos are more prevalent outside the 'South'?

You are. And even more so when you leave Texas. I think I'm the only person in California that doesn't have a tattoo.

I think tattoos in general are much more prevalant now than before. I always cringe when I see a tattoo, SMDH at it, and move on.

I don't know, but I spent some time in Lake Charles and made the same observation after only 2-3 days there. I think way more people have them then not in LC. Not nearly as common in Baton Rouge.

It's big in the Northeast too. I don't like them, but they don't really bother me as long as you don't have them in the "unemployment zone" on your neck, hands, etc. which is quite prevalent here.

well, last year on one of the Friday the 13ths, they had a big event in Dallas offering free "13" tattoos to anyone in attempts to set a Guinness record, so there's that

I hope they didn't get the record so that they just have a random "13" tattoo with nothing to show for it.

it was pretty dumb imo, some people where my daughter works got up at 2am to go get their 13 from the "famous" tattoer that was behind it, waited in line a couple of hrs., got their 13, and had to be at work 8:30-9

It depends on the area of Dallas. All the 30-Kaires following the trends have the tattoos in my experience. Plus there is a large Tapout shirt wearing segment of Dallas.

I had Oliver Peck tattoo a 13 on my Pecker.....just seemed right.
