Been truck shopping all day, finally time to retire my 04 nissan Titan, Chevys are nice, tundra is nice, but the 150 is smoking! They have a 13' lariat, 4x4, loaded, Ecoboost v6, sticker 51k. What would you car gurus offer????

I like Chevy, but if you want the Ford get the 5.0 not the turbo V6.

Looked at '14 platinum crew 4x4 loaded at Courtesy about a week ago. Sticker was $52 and change and their first price out of the gate was $46k. $51k for a '13 sounds like a terrible deal. And the '15s are about to come out, driving down the '14 prices further.

I like F 150s and own one but you should check out the Ram 1500 Ecodiesel. I want one. Motherfricker gets 28 mpg on the hwy.

The remodel will be out next year. Don't buy a brand new old model truck. If you're already going to throw so much cash at something, at least jump on the latest and greatest they have to offer.

Figure the difference in price of Diesel vs. gasoline and you're still more expensive.

I drive a diesel btw.

I loved the two Fords I owned but I don't recommend a V6 in a full size truck.

I drive a 2012 platinum 4x4 w/ the ecoboost. I love it, the the gas mileage isn't anything special. It is quick though.

one of my buddues had the v6 blow up on him at 65k miles. they let him trade it in on a new one at a pretty good deal but he didn't want a new truck yet didn't want to pay 10k to get it fixed, kind of concerning.

Seriously? Mine gets 14 or so mpg when I am not dealing with ATL traffic and the Ram gets 22 or so in the city, 28 on the hwy? I'm no good at the maths but I still feel like it's better?

Just doesn't seem the mpg difference is worth it for the loss of power. Of course I'm thinking of my 1999 v6 which was reliable but sluggish

I could have gotten that exact truck for 39k (before tax, title, license) last July. Considering the 14s are out now, it should be cheaper than that. Maybe 37ish if I had to guess.
