If you haven't watched it all the way through season 1, you are missing out.

Imagine combining Ender's Game, The Last Airbender, and DBZ into one show.

No holds barred. Anyone can die at any time.

I thought it was ok. Action was great, but story is greatly lacking. Thankfully they are coming out with another season because they don't give you any information and it left me annoyed at the end.

I did like how no one was safe, and Mikasa is a badass.

Hopefully we get some answers as to why some people can transform into titans, who Jaegers dad is, and why the titans are killing humanity.

I just want to know WTF is going on and I'm not buying the manga.

The only issue that I had with the story is that they didn't move it along enough in the first season. Maybe it will develop better or maybe it will just end up being a really shallow story.

Thats what I meant. They don't advance the story at all, and in the final episodes when they finally capture that girl and they have the opportunity to tell us something, we get no information and it just ends. Pretty annoying.

I'm not hating, but that's a bold statement.

I actually prefer it this way. Almost everything we know of the story has been SHOWN to us through actions and then reinforced through narrative.

That's good story telling.

I don't want everything answered so quickly. I want the story to take us on a character driven journey giving us well "earned" answers. Granted having Annie in crystal at the end was a tad much, it was necessary, however, as a pitch for season 2.

The story will only be good as the suspense and I don't want that gone so quickly.

Good quick answers = a good short lived story

Good well paced answers = great long lasting story.

I get that, I just wanted some answers. They didn't need to give me all the answers. The whole season just seemed like one long prologue.

I'm looking forward to season 2 though. Hopefully Mikasa and Levi (the badass leader of the special operations unit) continue surviving. I don't see them killing off Mikasa at least.

Cool fact about Levi, the manga's creator modeled him after Rorschach from Watchmen.

There is a reason the story didn't move along, I haven't seen the show, just know what goes on in the comics.
