This is the dumbest trend I have ever seen. Graduating from preschool? It's freaking daycare. If you can make it more than an hour without shitting your pants you graduate. Facebook is bombarded with parents of these little fricks who are so proud. It makes me want to punch puppies. End rant.

ETA: will probably segue into travel ball, workout supplements, and personal trainers for 8 yr. olds

Get the frick over yourself. If a parent wants to be happy that their kid finished pre-school they have a right to be happy. You don't know how the parents were raised.

If you are that excited about your kid finishing preschool your kid is probably a retard.

Agreed. In my mind, it lessens the importance of the traditional graduation points - high school and college.

It is certainly retarded, just like our society.

Or the parent is very supportive of their child. Take off your mouton glasses, your perspective is real shitty.

How so? And I'm sure mouton thinks being happy for a kid graduating high school or college is dumb too.

Why heap praise on something that is not an accomplishment? I took a shite this morning. Can I get a ribbon? Me remembering to wipe my arse is a bigger accomplishment than your kid finishing daycare.

"I didn't know they gave out ninth place ribbons." "Oh yeah Jack, they've got'em all the way down to tenth place."

There has always been Kindergarten graduation. Now that K5 is part of elementary school, they do it for K4.

I had a Kindergarten graduation years and years ago. It is fun for the parents and gives a forecast of what you will experience years later when you are really finished. No one in the room thinks that the kid accomplished anything. It is more of a future-oriented ceremony about what they are going to do.

And, it is fun for parents and grandparents and good PR for the preschool that you are usually paying a tuition to.

Geez, dude. Lighten up.

I have 4 kids, 2 in public schools. One a freshman and other 6th grade. Neither have had a graduation of any kind with school. I've never heard of what your saying though I believe graduating elementary school is common aside from obviously high school

Other 2 kids not yet in school
