I'm not sure if this is new news or not. It's been known for a while (released in mockups) that they planned to paint the green tiles gray. Are they changing from gray to something else?

I didn't realize it was changing. The green has grown on me.

I'm hoping a pepto pink, similar to a muscle punch.

I'd paint the panels alternating colors of Superdome side-panel gold and Superdome roof-white. I think the consistency would look nice

The green looks like bathroom title in a gas station bathroom.

I don't care what anybody says painted gray will look worse than the natural green that was embedded in that material

It's like painting wood - very white trash. that material was designed to last for ages, what happens when the paint starts chipping and fading?

Just paint it again.

But the natural material has subtle shifts in the color light green a medium green a darker green - it give it a sort of texture.

Maybe they can do something the paint but I'm skeptical it will look better

Come on it can't be worse than the bathroom tile green. If it is I'll be shocked

yes, it does. But, it was a quick fix for the mirrored outside that blinked onlookers.

Honestly I consider myself an architecture / skyline dork and I do like it. I mean for how cheap we built that arena it was a really practical option. I think that and the OKC Arena are the two cheapest NBA arenas (not counting ancient ones like Bradley Center or Sacramentos) and it's viable which is pretty impressive for what we spent on it.

I think the Superdome is an absolute wonder - it's so beautiful and I'm over the moon that it's apparently going to be considered relevant for the next 20 years at a minimum.

The green is just awful. Especially in that location where it clashes with everything. I am cautiously optimistic whatever they do will be better.
