I'm still trying to catch up with this and netflix only has seasons 1-8 on it. Where can I watch season 9? I downloaded the mobile cbs app and it only has clips, is it maybe because it's not the desktop website that I'm not accessing? Any other good websites you guys recommend?

You don't. Ted met her on Tinder. You'll be much happier this way.

Just don't watch the rest, you will be much happier. The final season ruined the show for me, reruns just aren't the same anymore.

dafuq? If you were talking about dexter then sure, but you have to watch the final season. If you don't then what would have been the point of watching the first 8?

I'm not gonna sit here and say the last season was awesome, because it wasn't awesome. It had some pretty crappy episodes and a crap ton of filler. But I mean, this season is what the whole series has led up to. At the very least he at least needs to watch the finale.

Have to agree. Its as if the finale changed the premise for the entire show.

Really one of the worst series finales of all time. Ch131 is a good one to watch newer tv episodes on.

i thought the last season was far better than the previous 2. the issue is that a lot of people who got into the show, did so through Netflix. Shows tend to be better and more entertaining when you watch them straight through, so those who were caught up and watching season 9 from week-to-week didn't get the fast paced action they were used to.

Dafuq?

If he has to, he should watch everything up to the finale and not touch the finale with a 100 ft pole.

I'd just recommend passing the final season personally. I'm in the boat that had the final season (especially the finale) change my opinion. I feel like the writers James Cameron'd me with their hubris.

The finale isn't even a sitcom. It's a terrible soap opera.

ETA: There a couple of episodes that are very quality in the final season. I just found them few and far between.

So in the finale, where we finally see the resolution of ted's love life from now through old age, and see what becomes of the singular event the entire last season is based upon, you don't think that's important? You are actually suggesting someone watch 99% of a series and skip the last episode?

Yes. I wish I could un-see the finale. Even if you discount the ending, 40% of the finale was revolved around one character being a massively fickle and selfish a-hole.

I love HIMYM a frickton.

Having said that, stop now. Stop now and never touch season 9. You'll be way happier for it.

I've got an even better idea for anyone that wants to watch HIMYM to the end. Watch everything up to the finale. Turn on Netflix. Go to Scrubs. Find the last episode. Pretend JD = Ted, Chalke = Mother , Turk = Marshall , Carla = Lily , Dr. Cox = Barney, and Robin = Jordan. Enjoy.

Alright...well flash back to when YOU were watching the series and had watched every episode but the last one. I'm quite sure if someone you've never met said "dude not worth it, don't even bother" you would still watch the finale.

Just like the OP should do.

If I went in expecting a train wreck, that would at least lessen the blow when watching said train wreck. So there's at least value in being told not to.

Abso-fricking-lately. The writers took a massive shite on the viewers. That's not okay.
